Pedomint Terms of Use

Last updated: September 14, 2026 · Applies to Pedomint for iPhone

The short version

Pedomint is a self-imposed screen time tool, not a lock and not a monitoring product. You agree to use it on your own devices, to accept that Apple's Screen Time and HealthKit frameworks decide what the app can and cannot enforce, and to the subscription terms below if you buy Pro.

1Accepting these terms

By downloading or using Pedomint you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

2What Pedomint is

Pedomint is a personal, self-imposed screen time tool. You set a daily step goal; the steps you actually walk are converted into a screen time allowance; and the apps you choose to guard stay shielded once that allowance runs out. It is designed for people limiting their own usage, and it depends on Apple's Screen Time and HealthKit frameworks to work.

3Your licence

Pedomint grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except to the extent that such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.

4Pedomint Pro

Pedomint Pro is an optional upgrade. It unlocks the four extra colour themes and their matching app icons, a third Streak Freeze slot with one Freeze granted each month, and the 13-week goal heatmap in both History and its widget. Everything else — the daily allowance, earning minutes by walking, coins, the Mint Shop, streaks and the main widgets — is free. Pro is available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are always shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.

Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase — open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.

If a free trial is offered, it lasts for the stated period from the moment you confirm. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. All purchases are handled by Apple, and refund requests are decided by Apple under its own policies — Pedomint cannot issue refunds directly.

5Health and safety

Pedomint is not a medical device and does not provide medical, health or fitness advice. Walking goals and screen time limits are yours to set responsibly. Do not use Pedomint as a substitute for professional advice, and do not let a step goal push you into unsafe activity.

6Accuracy of step and usage data

Step counts come from Apple Health, which combines readings from your iPhone and any connected Apple Watch. Screen time and app shielding are provided by Apple's Screen Time frameworks. Both can be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate — a watch that was not worn will not count steps, and iOS may apply or lift a shield slightly later than scheduled. Pedomint reports what the system gives it and cannot guarantee the accuracy of that data.

7Acceptable use

Pedomint is intended for limiting your own device usage. You agree not to use it to monitor, restrict or control another person without their knowledge and consent, and not to use it in any way that breaks the law or Apple's terms. Pedomint is not a parental control or employee monitoring product.

8Disclaimer of warranties

Pedomint is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that it will prevent you from accessing any particular app or website.

9Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Pedomint is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Pedomint in the twelve months before the claim.

10Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the app evolves. The current version is always available inside the app, and the effective date above shows when it last changed. Continuing to use Pedomint after a change means you accept the revised terms.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer of Pedomint is established, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Nothing in these terms removes any consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
